Software: by Olive Tree, which means it is powerful, well organized and fast. Guess they are hoping you will upgrade -- but this has more features than most paid Bibles. The Bible: The "Christian Standard Bible" is an excellent modern Bible. The Plan: The free reading plans are the most useful Ive seen. The 4+1 plan, that Ive been using, doesnt let you get bogged down in the harder sections. The program even tracks what you have read, so if you miss a day (or a month) you just start where you left off. Conclusion: If you want a great Bible for light reading or serious study -- your search is over. P.S. It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of the split window. Just touch the double lines (above and to the right of the "Go To" button) and drag the windowshade down. P.P.S. Scholars, clergy and Mac users should also look at Accordance for iOS. For everyone else, this is it.

I have looked and looked for a app that I could really use that would have everything I needed for my bible study. This is probably one of the best apps out there! There are so many books available for free, the videos and audio are great tools and the bible reading program is just awesome! The only thing I think could make it better is having the ability to highlight my books like I can the bible. other than that a great app! Thanks a lot!

I love the resources in it though I primarily use it for the reading plan. Very user friendly. My only complaint is on the reading plan it doesnt save it after checking the box on days when there is no assignment. But I have reported this so hopefully that will improve.

Please fix the daily assignment part. It stops being useful after the day of rest. It should also allow to read ahead. Please fix these problems. Thank you.

This has been a good app, the day of rest glitch notwithstanding, but now its shutting down the minutes it finishes loading and I cant get it to stay open for any length of time. Please fix this app, I have been using it consistently and now I dont have access to my daily tracking info!

Used to love this app (except for the inability to easily track progress when reading ahead) but the last several days it immediately closes after loading. Cannot access reading plan or scripture. Please fix this app.

Since the ios upgrade this app does not work. I dont think is compatible with the Apple update. Please repair this problem..because this is an essential source we depend on to see us through the day. The app opens but immediately shuts down.

I had been using this Bible for a while even though frequent crashes were frustrating. The highlight feature is fantastic and I had a significant amount of study highlighted and noted. Since the IOS5 update the app crashes immediately after loading 100% of the time.

All of a sudden... when I open this app it crashes.... Fix the crashes and this would be an awesome Bible app.

Please fix this app. I can honestly say that in spite of any issues I had on the day 7, it truly made a difference in my spiritual walk. I loved being able to track my progress and I was researching what I was reading much more than I ever had. This app really does make a difference. Please, please, please fix it. Thank you

Bought this but now I can only access the sampler version

I enjoy reading the Bible chronologically and this app makes it easy. It breaks it down into 6 daily readings per week and shows your progress. I have had none of the problems described in the previous reviews. It works great for me.

Im using this app to study Latin, Biblical Hebrew, and ancient Greek, and the split screen function is great for it. One problem: unlike other reading apps, this one doesnt maintain the screen brightness. It goes dark every few seconds and you have to touch the screen to bring it back. Its a minor irritant, but still an irritant. It should be easy to fix.

Great resource! Excited to use it and tell others. There are plenty of useful helps for beginners and scholars.

I absolutely love this app and use it every day to track my reading. I am using the chronological through the Bible in a year option, but I have looked ahead and it actually ends short of completion, missing almost the entire New Testament. (stops early in the gospels) Am I missing something? I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but it is still missing the New Testament part of the reading plan. If anyone can help with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I have enjoyed the accountability that is provided by this tool as well as the videos by first rate scholars. Two needed improvements: (1) the projected completion date no longer works - it is blank and no longer shows the completion date. Very frustrating. (2) The scholar idea is good (Darrell Bock was a former prof of mine at Dallas), but their insights are not always practical for the lay reader. It would be great to have pastors answer these questions as well and give hands on advice about reading the Bible. I think their insights would have more practical benefit for the average reader.

Totally LOVE this app! The only thing I would change would be to add a Bible reading tracker so that you could keep track of how much of the Bible youve read. :)

I love the idea behind this app, its very helpful as I travel and as I am away from the physical version of this RBL book. However, their back-up/sync feature does not work. I have tried and tried several times for months and they have still not fixed the bug.
